The Veterans India National Patriotic Walk, aptly titled ‘Rashtra Bhakti Ko Khel Se Shakti’, was organised with great distinction at New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru, on 26 January 2026, to cherish the spirit of Republic Day. The event was conducted in collaboration with AICTE and recognised by Fit India and the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), the initiative stood as a dignified tribute to national pride and collective well-being.
The walk sought to honour the valour and sacrifices of Indian Armed Forces veterans while fostering fitness, unity, and civic responsibility. It witnessed overwhelming and enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, NCC and NSS volunteers, as well as members of the public. Commencing from Gate No. 3 of the NHCE campus and culminating at the Sports Ground, the walk followed a meticulously planned route, with volunteers stationed throughout to ensure safety and seamless coordination.
The esteemed presence of the Principal, Registrar, faculty, and administrative teams lent gravitas to the occasion. NCC and NSS units played a pivotal role in organisation, crowd management, and discipline. Beyond the celebration, the Veteran Walk symbolised awareness of veterans’ welfare and broader societal obligations. The event concluded with an oath and traditional games, resonating with strong patriotic fervour, cultural values, and social harmony.
