Republic Day – 2026





The Republic Day celebrations were organised with pride and patriotic spirit at the campus reflecting the essence of the nation. The programme began with the presence of the Registrar, Mr Suryaprakash, and Principals of NHCE, NHCM, NHPUC, respectively – Dr Manjunatha, Dr Bodhisatvan, and Dr Basavaraj, who ceremoniously hoisted the National Flag. The unfurling of the tricolour stood as a symbol of unity, sacrifice, and the core values enshrined in the Constitution of India.
The flag hoisting was followed by the soulful rendering of the National Anthem and the National Song, creating an atmosphere filled with reverence and national pride. This was succeeded by an impressive NCC Parade, which demonstrated discipline, precision, teamwork, coordination, and hard work among the cadets.
The Republic Day Welcome Address was delivered by the Principal of NHCE, Dr Manjunatha. In his inspiring speech, he spoke about the significance of the Constitution and the responsibilities it places upon citizens. He emphasised the importance of sincerity, dedication, and working tirelessly towards the nation’s progress. Referring to the rapid developments in the field of engineering, he encouraged students to contribute meaningfully to nation-building. Highlighting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, marking 100 years of India’s freedom, he urged young minds to work with clarity of vision towards a prosperous and thriving India, concluding with the powerful words, “Jai Bharat.”
The celebrations continued with a moving performance by the Music Club, where a student presented Vande Mataram through an electric guitar rendition, captivating the audience. This was followed by an energetic dance performance by the Dance Club to patriotic numbers, which evoked a strong sense of nationalism among New Horizonites and reinforced the visionary ideals of a progressive India.
The concluding NCC Parade was accompanied by the song Hum Sab Bharatiya that reflected the ethos of Republic Day. The programme ended with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chairman, Dr Mohan Manghnani, for his visionary leadership, the President, Mr. Dhermesh Manghnani, Principals, Registrar, Executive Directors, CEO, Heads of Departments, and all teaching and non-teaching staff. The celebrations concluded with the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone inspired and proud to be Indians. Jai Hind!
