On 7th November 2025, New Horizon College of Engineering and New Horizon College, Marathahalli celebrated Kannada Rajyothsava with great pride and enthusiasm. The occasion was graced by NHEI’s President, Mr. Dhermesh Manghnani, the Registrar, Mr. Suryaprakash, the Principal of NMCM, Mr. Bodhisatavan, and the Executive Directors, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff. Students gathered with vibrant enthusiasm to attend the celebration held at New Horizon Knowledge Park.

The vermilion-and-turmeric Karnataka flag was hoisted by Ms. Ankita Kundu, Kannada Playback Singer, along with Mr. Dhermesh Manghnani, Principals, and Registrar, followed by a floral offering to Bhuvaneshwari Thaayi. The campus paid homage as the Naada Geethe was sung, with everyone standing in solemn reverence, hearts beating in rhythm with the patriotic state anthem. A graceful welcome dance by a student, offered in reverence to Lord Ganesha, inaugurated the cultural performances that followed.

The Department of AI & ML united in a melodious rendition of Hacchevu Kannadada Deepa, evoking profound devotion and love for the divine land of Karnataka. Dr. Manjunatha delivered a warm welcome address, interspersed with light-hearted remarks on Karnataka’s rich culinary heritage. He fondly spoke of Mysore Pak, Belagavi Kunda, Dharwad Peda, and the famed Byadgi Red Chilli as culinary emblems of the state’s vibrant culture.

The programme showcased various folk-dance forms of Karnataka, accompanied by traditional Kannada folk songs. Ms. Ankita Kundu captivated the audience with her soulful renditions of popular Kannada songs. She interacted with students and even danced along, filling the atmosphere with joy and energy. As a gesture of appreciation, Mr. Dhermesh Manghnani presented her with a token of gratitude.

A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Sanjeev, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The celebration concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of Mysore Pak, marking the culmination of a truly splendid and culturally rich observance of the 70th Kannada Rajyothsava.
