The Departments of Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, and MCA of New Horizon College of Engineering jointly organized the Computer Society of India (CSI) Student Chapter Inauguration for the academic year 2025–2026. The event commenced at 11:00 AM with Vande Mataram, followed by the College Song and Invocation, creating a dignified and formal atmosphere. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of dignitaries, faculty members, and student representatives marked the auspicious beginning of the chapter’s activities.
The newly elected CSI Student Chapter Office Bearers for 2025–2026 were formally introduced, with their roles and responsibilities highlighted. An official group photograph symbolized the start of their leadership journey. The Principal’s address focused on the impact of AI and Machine Learning on future employment, emphasizing continuous upskilling, adaptability, ethical thinking, and the importance of leveraging AI as an enabling tool rather than a replacement for human intelligence.
The inaugural address by the Chief Guest, Mr. Muralidhar Narasimhamurthy, Engineering Leader at Arista Networks, provided a clear vision for the chapter’s activities. He outlined four key directions—innovation-driven projects, community collaboration, industry integration, and skill development—serving as a strong roadmap for CSI events throughout the year. The CSI President, Jiya Ashish Maliye (CSE), delivered an enthusiastic address highlighting the legacy of CSI, the importance of active student participation, and the chapter’s mission to foster a vibrant, technology-focused campus culture.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Sunku Joshika (AIML), acknowledging the Chief Guest, college leadership, faculty coordinators, student volunteers, and participants. The inauguration concluded with the National Anthem at 12:00 PM, leaving students motivated and well-prepared for a year of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth under the CSI Student Chapter.
