79th Independence Day Celebration Event






New Horizon College of Engineering marked India’s 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit, celebrating under the theme: “25 Years of Excellence, 79 Years of Freedom: Building the Future Together.” The event commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Chief Guest Col. T. N. C. Vijayasarathy, a decorated war veteran, in the presence of Mr. Dhermesh Manghnani (President, NHCE), Dr. Manjunatha (Principal, NHCE), Dr. R. Bodhisatvan (Principal, NHCM), and Mr. Suryaprakash (Registrar, NHCE). This was followed by the National Anthem, and a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the NCC unit.
Col. Vijayasarathy delivered an inspiring address, reflecting on India’s progress in agriculture, science, defense, and global recognition, while urging the youth to actively participate in nation-building. Principal Dr. Manjunatha highlighted the transformative impact of emerging technologies and emphasized the importance of innovation and research in alignment with the national vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047.”
The celebrations concluded with vibrant cultural performances by students and the distribution of sweets, fostering a strong sense of unity, pride, and patriotism across the campus.
