Workshop on Problem Solving and Ideation
The Department of Management Studies, in collaboration with NHCE-IIC, organized a Problem Solving and Ideation Workshop on 20th November 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ creative and analytical thinking skills through structured activities. Participants learned how to identify real-world problems, break them into manageable components, and analyze them from multiple perspectives. Practical tools such as brainstorming, mind mapping, and root-cause analysis were introduced to strengthen idea generation and evaluation. Decision-making skills were improved by teaching methods to compare solutions based on feasibility, impact, and innovation. Collaboration exercises fostered teamwork, communication, and idea-sharing abilities among students. An idea generation activity encouraged participants to propose innovative solutions to real-life challenges using design-thinking principles. Students worked in groups, applied creative tools, and presented their most feasible and impactful ideas. The best idea was selected after evaluation on creativity, feasibility, and potential impact, and the winning team was awarded for originality and clarity. Overall, the workshop enriched students’ problem-solving mindset, promoted innovation, and equipped them with a structured approach to tackle challenges in academic and professional contexts.
