A REPORT ON VOLUNTEER SERVICE AT ISKCON

ISKCON Bangalore’s Hare Krishna Dham (Whitefield) celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami – Ananda Mahotsava 2024 at KTPO, Whitefield, on the 25th and 26th of August, 2024. The temples were adorned with vibrant flowers, lights, and festoons, creating a festive ambiance. The deities at ISKCON were beautifully dressed in new garments, sparkling ornaments, and fragrant flower garlands.

ISKCON invited students from New Horizon College of Engineering to be part of the volunteering services team at ISKCON Bangalore, Whitefield, for the celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami – Ananda Mahotsava 2024. A total of 75 students from the MBA and MCA departments participated in the volunteering services, assisting at the ISKCON temple premises and spending an entire day serving and helping with various activities.

Volunteering for this event is a wonderful way to spread joy and happiness while celebrating Indian art, music, and culture. By volunteering, students helped others experience the boundless blessings and divine energy of this marvelous celebration. The volunteering services included assisting senior citizens, helping with medical facilities, managing the darshan queuing system, and participating in various activities.

These two days provided an excellent opportunity for student volunteers to join ISKCON in spreading the joy of this divine occasion and to receive the blessings of the Lord.
