Introduction
The Triage Dynamic organised by the HealthXcel club is a hypothetical role-playing event designed to test participants’ persuasion, empathy, and improvisation skills in a medical crisis scenario. Participants will enact personalities embodying various medical conditions, facing a resource-constrained environment with limited access to medical professionals. The objective is to convince the “Doctor” (Judge) that their case merits urgent treatment, ensuring their character’s survival. The top three participants that most successfully justify their need for care will emerge as winners.
General Guidelines

Team Composition:
Each team should consist of 2 members.

Assembly and Entry:

  • All participants must complete registration prior to the event and report to the Tejas seminar Hall by 2:30 PM. Entry will be closed strictly at 3:00 PM

Student ID:

  • Participants must carry a valid student ID card from their institution and present it at the time of registration.

Punctuality:

  • All participants must adhere to the event

 Procedure
  1. All participants will assemble at the designated venue and draw a chit, which will inform them of the specific medical condition they are “carrying.”
  2. Each participant should draw another chit and choose a personality to enact
  3. Participants will have up to 3 minutes to present their case, persuading the doctor as to why they should be prioritized for treatment.
  4. After every participant finishes with their justification, there will be a debate round where the participants counter their opponents to get additional points.
  5. The participants who are most compelling in their justification will be declared
Judging Criteria and Decisions
  1. Judging Time:
    • Judging will take place during the participant’s act. Judges may ask you questions about the disease and the personality you’re enacting
  2. Criteria:
    • Sarcastic and humorous
    • Convincing the judge why your portfolio needs treatment
    • Debating with the competitors in the conclusion
  3. Final Decision:
    • The decision of the judging panel and event coordinators will be final and binding.
