DESCRIPTION

Join us for an exciting puzzle-solving session at New Horizon College of Engineering. Participants will tackle a series of engaging challenges, including solving tech riddles, decrypting ciphered messages, coding tasks, filtering the room.” The top two contestants will be awarded prize money, making this a thrilling competition for all skill levels! The following rules and guidelines are designed to ensure a fair, safe, and organized event, promoting creativity and professionalism.

General Guidelines

TEAM COMPOSITION:
Each team can consist of 2 Members.

REGISTRATION:

  • All participants must complete registration prior to the event.

Student ID:
Participants must carry a valid student ID card from their institution and present it at the time of registration.
Team Composition:

  • Each team can consist of a maximum of 4 members. Teams must register with a unique team name.
  • Cross-institutional teams are allowed (students from different colleges can collaborate).

Punctuality:</br/>
Teams must adhere to the event schedule; latecomers may face penalties or disqualification.

Game Rules
Instructions:

  • Participants must follow all instructions for each stage of the event.
  • The use of AI tools or third-party assistance will lead to disqualification


Challenge Format
Challenges will include encryption, decryption, coding, and analytical questions
Interaction with Judges and Visitors:

  • Be polite and professional when answering questions or addressing feedback.
  • Teamwork and integrity are expected; any disruptive behavior will result in disqualification.
  • Participants are expected to maintain a respectful attitude towards fellow competitors and organizers.

Time Limits:
Each stage will have a specific time limit; exceeding it may impact your score.

Supplies and Equipment
Required Materials:
Teams must bring all necessary materials, equipment, and tools for their project.
Safety:

    • All materials and equipment used should follow general safety guidelines.

 

    Hazardous materials are strictly prohibited


Judging Criteria and Decisions
Criteria:

  • Solve all challenges efficiently: The game includes encryption, decryption, coding, and analytical tasks.
  • Decrypt messages and find credentials: Players must figure out the username and password to “exit the room.”
  • Work within the time limit: Each stage has a specific time constraint, and exceeding it may impact the score.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and integrity: Disruptive behavior or dishonesty will result in disqualification.


Final Decision

  • The decision of the judging panel and event coordinators will be final and binding.
  • No appeals regarding judging outcomes will be entertained.


Code of Conduct
Behavioral Expectations:

  • Participants are expected to behave respectfully with fellow participants, visitors, and organizers.
  • Any form of misconduct will lead to disqualification.

Punctuality and Discipline:
Teams must stick to the allotted schedule and avoid disrupting other teams.

Rule Changes:

  • Organizers reserve the right to amend the rules as deemed necessary.
  • Any changes will be communicated to registered participants via email or on-site announcements.

Post-Event Protocols
Clean-Up:

  • Teams must pack up their projects and leave the display area immediately after the expo ends.
  • Dispose of waste materials responsibly.


Feedback:
Participants are encouraged to submit feedback about the event to help improve future addition.

Technical Assistance:
Club members will be available on-site to assist with any technical issues (e.g., power, Wi-Fi, equipment setup).
Safety:
