Social Service at Koralahosahalli Tribal Village
New Horizon Educational Institution organized a Social Service Camp at Koralahosahalli Tribal Village (Bandipur) as part of its initiative to support and uplift 93 tribal villages in the Bandipur, Nagarwala, and Kabini forest regions. A total of 25 volunteers — including 18 NCC cadets and 7 NSS volunteers — actively participated in this community development program.
During the visit, the volunteers contributed to various activities such as:
Handing over newly constructed houses to the villagers.
Laying the foundation stone for a new temple to serve as a spiritual hub.
Distributing essential commodities like food, clothing, and daily necessities.
The camp emphasized the importance of ensuring that every individual, regardless of background, has access to basic needs and dignity in living. The journey commenced at 6:00 a.m., with volunteers reporting outside the college library before boarding the bus for a 4-hour drive to the tribal village.
This initiative reflects New Horizon’s continued commitment to social responsibility, empathy, and sustainable community development.
