DR. Shankar Bidari, DGP(Retd.) Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) of the state of Karnataka was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory function held on 20th September 2014. An Indian Police Service officer of 1978 batch, he was also the Commissioner of Police of Bangalore city. Karnataka Chief Minister’s Gold Medal in 1989. SHRI SHANKAR MAHADEV BIDARI has earned a formidable reputation as a dynamic, dedicated, brave and capable officer right from the beginning of his service. As ASP he suppressed gambling and illegal activities with a heavy hand, displayed rare courage, confidence and ability.
