The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of New Horizon College of Engineering actively participated in the “Run for Swadeshi” programme organized at Sri Channabyre Gowda Stadium, Hoskote, in commemoration of National Youth Day marking the 164th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event was conducted to promote the ideals of self-reliance, discipline, national pride, and youth empowerment in alignment with the vision of the National Cadet Corps. NCC cadets, along with students and faculty members, assembled at the college premises and proceeded to the venue with enthusiasm and commitment.

The programme commenced with an oath-taking ceremony emphasizing the principles of Swadeshi and Atmanirbhar Bharat, where participants pledged their dedication towards self-reliance, national responsibility, and personal development. The main highlight of the event was the 5-kilometer marathon, in which NCC cadets participated with great energy and determination, demonstrating endurance, teamwork, and physical fitness.
