REPORT ON REVELATION’23
Inter-Collegiate Cultural fest Revelations -2023 with the theme “Fiesta Euforica” was organized jointly by New Horizon College of Engineering Alumni Association and NHCE Extra-Curricular Clubs on 27th May 2023 at NHCE Campus. The fest comprised of cultural events like Hairstyling, Indian Classical Dance, Human Snake & Ladder, Roastmasters, Cooking without Fire, Charades and portrait sketching, the fest received enthusiastic participants from various colleges. Around 4000+ students participated in the fest and 164+ students had registered for the various competitive events.
The event started at 10.00 AM with the inauguration and got off to a great start with an invocation dance by the students, following which the lighting of lamps was done by the Principal, Registrar, Director- Alumni Relations and Alumni Committee Members. The guest speaker of the event was Mr. Ishan Sharma, Co-Founder of Markitup, Entrepreneur, Youtuber, and Influencer. He shared valuable insights on career, freelancing and business.
At 10.30 AM the event Harstyling started at discussion of Ground floor Library. Hair and Beauty students displayed an outstanding level of talent in the fest.

Indian Classical Dance: Indian classical dances are traditionally performed as an expressive drama-dance form of religious performance art.

Human Snake & Ladder: Snake and ladder is an ancient Indian board game, it requires two or more players and takes place on a board with numbered, griddle squares. Throughout the board, there are snakes and ladders which connect different squares. Players roll a dice and navigate the board. Landing on a ladder advances a player to a square further up the board, while landing on a snake means they have to go back to a previous square.

Roastmaster: The Judges will make comments about participants and the participants will have the opportunity to respond with relevant comebacks.

Cooking without fire: Cooking without fire refers to the process of preparing food without the use of fire.

Charades: Charades is a gesture and acting game. One person gets a word or phrase and then has to try to act and use gestures without making any sounds to indicate what that word or phrase is to his teammates, while the other person guesses the word.

Portrait Sketching: A portrait painting or drawing depicts the image of a particular person or animal, or group thereof. This time, as a tribute to Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar the portrait was only of renowned actor.

Overall, the competition went on very well with a lot of excitement, thrill and high spirit. More than 4000+ students participated in festival. Every event ended with joy and excitement. The students and staff members enjoyed tasting mouthwatering delicacies at the food mela.
Alongside the Inter-Collegiate Cultural fest the organizers had arranged a thrilling DJ night and live music concert to further enhance the festival experience from 7.00pm to 10.00pm (White Summerland 23 – A Youth Music Festival) which provided a vibrant and energetic atmosphere for the participants.
