The institution follows a strict zero-tolerance policy towards ragging, ensuring that every student can begin their academic journey with confidence and peace of mind. 

Ragging in any form whether physical, verbal, psychological, or through online platforms is strictly prohibited on the campus and in the hostels. In accordance with the guidelines of the Supreme Court of India, UGC, AICTE, the Government of Karnataka, and VTU, ragging is treated as a criminal offence. It can lead to severe disciplinary and legal action, including suspension, expulsion, and prosecution. 

To maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere, NHCE has established an Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squads that actively monitor the campus and address any concerns promptly. Students and parents are also required to submit anti-ragging affidavits during the admission process, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to a ragging-free environment. Regular awareness programmes, orientation sessions, poster campaigns, and Anti-Ragging Day activities educate students about the importance of mutual respect and responsible behaviour. 

At NHCE, senior students are encouraged to guide and mentor juniors, encouraging healthy friendships instead of intimidation.
