On 31st October 2025, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the Drama Club, NSS, and NCC units of New Horizon College of Engineering, organised a vibrant celebration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti viz National Unity Day. The event began at 3:00 PM at the Basketball Quadrangle with a floral tribute to the Iron Man of India. NSS students led a spirited Unity Walk across the campus and were joined by the Principal, faculty, and students, symbolizing national solidarity.

The NCC cadets showcased an impressive CPR demonstration and rifle drill, reflecting their discipline and service ethos. Their performance was widely appreciated for promoting awareness and honoring Patel’s ideals. The Drama Club presented a powerful theatrical act tracing Patel’s journey from the Independence era to modern-day Ekta Nagar. The performance highlighted his pivotal role in unifying India and inspiring national cohesion.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, evoking a strong sense of patriotism. The celebration served as a heartfelt tribute to Sardar Patel’s legacy. It reinforced the values of unity, integration, and collective responsibility among the NHCE community.
