The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the Drama Club, NSS, and NCC Units of New Horizon College of Engineering, celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31st October 2025 in honour of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event began at 3:00 PM at the Basketball Quadrangle, filled with patriotic enthusiasm.

The ceremony started with a floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, recognising his role in uniting India. This was followed by a Unity Walk around the campus, led by the Principal, Registrar, Directors, Deans, faculty, and students, symbolising the spirit of national unity. The NCC cadets presented a demonstration on CPR and an impressive Rifle Drill, showcasing discipline, skill, and national pride. Their efforts were well appreciated by all.

The Drama Club performed a play depicting the life and legacy of Sardar Patel, highlighting his leadership in uniting the nation and the development of Ekta Nagar. The event concluded with the National Anthem, filling everyone with pride and unity. Through this celebration, New Horizon College of Engineering paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and reaffirmed the values of unity, integrity, and national strength.
