BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT NHCE ON 7TH JULY 2023 ON OCCASION OF FOUNDER’S DAY

New Horizon College of Engineering, Rotaract club & Leo Club in collaboration with Rotary Club of Bangalore Lakeside and in association with Bangalore Medical Services Trust (BMST) – A Rotary Bangalore, organized blood donation camp at NHCE on 7th July 2023 on occasion of Founder’s Day.

Organizing a blood donation camp is a powerful initiative that can make a substantial impact on the health and well-being of our community. It serves as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and encourages individuals to actively participate in this noble cause. Blood donation can create an opportunity to bridge the gap between those in need of blood and willing donors, ultimately contributing to a healthier society.

On the day of the camp, a dedicated team of medical professionals and volunteers were present to manage the donation process. They set up registration counters to screen potential donors and verify their eligibility based on age, weight, medical history, and other criteria. Donors were required to fill out a health questionnaire and undergo a brief medical examination to ensure their suitability for donation.

The camp was equipped with all the necessary medical equipment and supplies, including sterile needles, collection bags, and storage containers. The donation process itself was quick and relatively painless, with each donor giving approximately 350-450 milliliters of blood. After the donation, donors were provided with refreshments and rest areas to recover.

The blood donation camp received an overwhelming response and around 306 donors donated the blood on the day.
