Lieutenant Commander Navjot Kaur, commissioned into the Indian Navy on 26 July 2016, exemplifies courage, resilience, and excellence. Trained at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, and INS Hamla, she was recognised as the Best All-Round Trainee, reflecting her commitment to all-round achievement from the very beginning.
In her distinguished career, she has undertaken key operational responsibilities, notably serving as Logistics Officer at INS Kardip in the Nicobar Islands. She made history as the first woman officer to be posted to the base in 47 years, a landmark moment in advancing inclusion within the Navy. Her achievement earned national recognition during a special feature on women in the armed forces.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is an accomplished endurance athlete, securing top positions in marathons and triathlons. Her passion for adventure is equally remarkable, with an advanced mountaineering qualification and recognition as Best Woman Performer during her training.
