About NHCE ISTE:

The ISTE-NHCE Chapter at New Horizon College of Engineering, founded in 2010  under the Indian Society for Technical Education, is dedicated to advancing engineering education and research. Through ISTE’s focus on curriculum enhancement, faculty development, and the improvement of educational infrastructure, the chapter aligns India’s technical education with global standards. NHCE joined as an institutional member in 2010, with nearly all faculty members becoming life members of ISTE, gaining from various short-term courses and developmental activities. NHCE was honored with the prestigious “BEST PERFORMING ISTE CHAPTER STUDENT AWARD-2023” for the academic year 2022-23. The ISTE-NHCE Chapter has organized a wide range of events, including workshops, guest lectures, and expert talks. These events provide valuable learning opportunities for both students and faculty, enabling them to gain insights from industry leaders, develop practical skills, and stay current with technological advancements. Such activities contribute to the chapter’s mission of fostering a comprehensive and globally competitive engineering education at NHCE.

Objective of Student Convention-2024

The objective of the 20th  ISTE Student Convention, themed ” Environmental Ethics & Sustainability in AI “ is to inspire students to explore and apply artificial intelligence within diverse engineering fields to address global sustainability challenges. By encouraging interdisciplinary integration, this theme emphasizes the unique role of AI in optimizing power efficiency, enhancing mechanical designs for minimal resource use, advancing IoT systems for real-time environmental monitoring, and creating intelligent, ethical solutions in software engineering. This focus aims to develop a future-ready generation capable of leveraging AI to drive responsible innovation, reduce environmental impact, and ensure that technological progress aligns with ethical principles and long-term sustainability.
