The Department of Management Studies with the ED & Startup Club, and the Institution’s Innovation Council organised an expert talk on 12 December 2025 titled Startup Opportunities in the Indian Healthcare Landscape. The session, delivered by Mr. Rajesh K. Dambigam, Founder and CEO, Lens & Meds aimed to expose students to the evolving healthcare startup ecosystem in India.

It provided insights into healthcare infrastructure, regulatory environment, funding mechanisms, and emerging trends such as digital health, telemedicine, AI diagnostics, and health-tech platforms. The talk encouraged entrepreneurial thinking by highlighting gaps in accessibility, affordability, and efficiency in healthcare. Students gained knowledge of business models, opportunity recognition, and strategic approaches to healthcare entrepreneurship. The session strengthened analytical skills and improved understanding of regulatory compliance and operational challenges.

Active interaction and discussions reflected high engagement among participants. Several students conceptualised startup ideas in affordable healthcare, rural access, diagnostics, and digital services. The event enhanced awareness of healthcare policies and the role of technology in solutions. Feedback indicated strong satisfaction and relevance of the topic.
