The Ministry of Defence has initiated a nationwide tree-planting campaign under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. Originally launched by Prime Minister Modi on World Environment Day, June 5, this effort aims to plant 1.5 million trees across the country. He has also urged all to contribute in making our planet better and informed that in the last decade, India has undertaken numerous collective efforts which have led to increased forest cover across the nation.
