Army Attachment Camp
The Army Attachment Camp, held at the Pioneer Corps Training Centre from 30th December 2024 to 10th January 2025, was an unforgettable experience that blended rigorous physical training with practical knowledge of military operations and leadership. Cadets were privileged to receive hands-on training with 5.56mm INSAS rifles, including the disassembling and assembling process. as well as the handling of 5.56mm INSAS LMGs and No. 36 hand grenades. They also participated in weapon simulator exercises (Drona Firing) that offered a realistic aiming and firing experience without live ammunition.
The cadets were also tasked with overcoming an obstacle course (OT) on 8th January, which included 27 challenging obstacles, further testing their physical endurance, agility, and teamwork. Additionally, they visited the 4th Battalion of the 8th Gorkha Rifles, where they witnessed the regiment’s rich history, traditions, and weapon displays. The camp also included training on ambush parties, enhancing their tactical skills.
The camp achieved significant milestones, including the Drill Competition (First Place), ChoCho (Runners-Up), and the Overall Championship won by Bangalore B Group.
Th.is camp instilled in cadets a profound respect for the armed forces, enhanced their skills, and inspired them to embrace discipline and teamwork in their lives. It served as a stepping stone for those aspiring to contribute to the nation’s defence and uphold its values.
