Alumni talk about  start-up Stories

The Alumni Association is organized an Alumni talk for the BE 1st year students on 08th October 2025 at NHCE Auditorium. The topic was “The Courage to Create Lessons in Entrepreneurship” presented by Mr. Saurav, Co-Founder – Marmeto, & Alumni of NHCE Batch: 2012 – 2016.

Mr. Saurav, a successful entrepreneur and co-founder of his own firm. In his session, he shared his personal journey, highlighting the struggles, risks, and triumphs he faced while building his business from the ground up. His talk aimed to inspire students and budding entrepreneurs to embrace the challenges of starting their own ventures and to instill in them the belief that success is possible with courage, persistence, and the right mindset.

He began his talk by addressing the common fear of starting a business with limited resources. He emphasized that he started his own firm with zero investment, a challenge that many aspiring entrepreneurs can relate to. The lack of capital was not the barrier; rather, it was the lack of knowledge about where to begin and how to get started. Saurav shared how, at the beginning, he had to rely on his determination and creativity to make ends meet and set a solid foundation for his startup.

A major portion of the talk was dedicated to how he managed to establish his firm without any external funding. He spoke about the importance of leveraging skills, networking, and finding creative ways to scale a business. He emphasized that starting small and being resourceful were essential steps in his journey.

At the end of his session, he shared several invaluable pieces of advice for students who want to pursue entrepreneurship in the future, like Start with what you have, Learn to pivot, Build a Strong Network, Focus on Value Creation, Stay Grounded and Humble. He also encouraged students not to give up after facing failure, but instead, to keep refining their approach until they find a path to success.

The talk was not just a story of entrepreneurship; it was a lesson in resilience, creativity, and courage. It was a perfect blend of personal experience, professional wisdom, and valuable advice, leaving a lasting impact on students.
