Department of management studies organised an International student development programme on “Business Trends On Vuca Economy” on 24.08.2022. The speakers for the day were Sakshi Parihar and Gbolahan P Omolola. VUCA stands for volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. It describes the situation of constant, unpredictable change that is now the norm in certain industries and areas of the business world. VUCA demands that you avoid traditional, outdated approaches to management and leadership, and day- to-day Aside from helping prepare leaders, VUCA can act as a checklist of the key factors an organization should be considering with their decision-making. It gives some clarity about the issues faced and helps to focus on the knowns and unknowns in the context of business challenges faced both internally and externally. We thank new horizon college of engineering for giving us this great opportunity to interact and also learn about business trends on vuca economy

IEEE PELS NHCE Student Branch Chapter of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, NHCE & IEEE PELS Bangalore Chapter jointly organized the Student Technical Event on “PRAUDYOGEEK 2.0” from 19th – 20th October 2022 for the benefit of B.E/B.Tech Students of NHCE and other External Institutions. The whole aim behind the event is to help the participants get familiarized with basic electrical core concepts, as well as inspire constructive dialogue on trending topics in the technology field through a group discussion. Along with improving their technical knowledge, participants will be able to elevate their soft skills such as time management, communication skills, and decision making, to ensure an all-round development. This event benefitted 139 participants in having a better understanding of logic building in electric circuits.

Variate is an event that aims to provide an opportunity for participants to show their creativity, coding and designing skills. Coding is imperative to bring out skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. Along with an understanding of UI design, this event also gives an opportunity to the participants to understand the working of front-end and back-end development. There will be two rounds named, Mindsweeper and Webmin.
The first round is Mindsweeper and this is a flashcard competition in which fragments of several working codes will be scattered. The teams which match the most number of appropriate flashcards into a working code are shortlisted for the second round.
The second round is Webmin. This is a website designing round in which all the participants are given HTML code and each of them have to use any tool or framework to design the page using either Bootstrap, WordPress, etc. Extra points are given to the participant for designing using pure code.
