On October 8, 2024, New Horizon College of Engineering celebrated Garba Night at New Horizon Knowledge Park as part of the Navratri festivities. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, creating a vibrant and memorable cultural experience. 

The evening began with an introduction to the significance of Garba, where the host highlighted its cultural and religious importance, honoring the power of Goddess Durga and symbolizing the victory of good over evil. This was followed by the recitation of the Shri Durga Stuti, setting a spiritual tone for the evening. Dr. Mohan Manghnani, Chairman of NHEI, inaugurated the event with the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp. A traditional Devi Pooja and Aarathi were performed, to seek blessings of Goddess Durga for peace, prosperity, and success. All attendees participated in this sacred ceremony. 

Students from New Horizon College Kasturinagar (NHCK) showcased their talents with a vibrant cultural performance of dance and music. A musical highlight was the Garba performance by Mr. Hitesh Mehta and his team, whose soulful renditions of traditional and popular Garba songs energized the crowd and set the stage for the main event. 

The highlight of the evening was the Garba and Dandiya dances, where students and faculty, dressed in colorful traditional attire, enthusiastically danced in synchrony. A DJ session followed, amplifying the energy and excitement as everyone danced freely and enjoyed the festive atmosphere. 

To enhance the experience of Garba and Dandiya experience, a Dandiya Stick Stall was set up, where participants could purchase colorful sticks to join the dance. Food stalls served delicious snacks and beverages to the participants and attendees, adding flavor to the celebration. 

Garba Night 2024 was a grand success and reflected the rich cultural heritage of India. The event beautifully blended spirituality, tradition, and entertainment, leaving attendees with cherished memories of this culturally rich celebration.
