World Happiness Summit 2026: An Invitation to Discover True Happiness

The two-day event, scheduled for 23 and 24 September 2026, encourages young people to reflect on what creates lasting fulfilment. Happiness is often associated with success, achievement, comfort and enjoyable experiences. Yet these moments of pleasure can be temporary. The World Happiness Summit 2026, organised by Happpy AiR – Atman in Ravi at New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru, explores a deeper understanding of happiness through the theme “Real Happpiness has 3 Ps that is, Pleasure, Peace and Purpose.”

The first P, Pleasure, represents the happiness we experience through achievements, possessions, relationships, celebrations, creativity, entertainment, music, dance and other life experiences. Such experiences can bring excitement and joy, but they may also be accompanied by emotions such as stress, anxiety, regret, jealousy, anger and worry. The central idea is that pleasure, while valuable, does not necessarily provide lasting contentment.

The second P, Peace, takes the idea of happiness inward. Peace is associated with calmness, meditation, emotional balance, harmony, compassion and a sense of unity with others. However, the summit’s philosophy recognises that inner calm does not automatically eliminate physical pain or the difficulties experienced by the mind and ego. Peace therefore represents a deeper state of wellbeing, beyond the pursuit of external pleasure.

The third P, Purpose, takes the exploration further. According to the summit’s philosophy, purpose comes from recognising oneself as the Soul rather than identifying entirely with the body, mind or ego. It is connected with meaning, contribution, awareness, inspiration and a higher purpose in life. The emphasis is on moving beyond temporary difficulties towards a life guided by conscious awareness and meaningful contribution.

For students, this philosophy is explored through creativity and expression. The World Happiness Festival provides opportunities to examine happiness through short films, group singing, two-minute talks, acting and group dance. These activities encourage storytelling, teamwork, communication, artistic expression and reflection on themes such as human values, relationships, peace, social awareness, inspiration and positivity.

Ultimately, the three Ps present happiness as a journey: Pleasure through celebration, Peace through harmony, and Purpose through discovering a deeper sense of self. By encouraging young people to think, create, collaborate and express themselves, the summit seeks to make the idea of happiness a subject not merely to discuss, but to explore through everyday life. Join the World Happiness Summit 2026 to learn, create, connect and discover what truly makes life fulfilling.
