Report On Alumni Meet- 2023
The Alumni meet 2023 was organized on March 4th, 2023, at RD’s Nature Retreat, Bannerghata, Bangalore by the Alumni Association of New Horizon College of Engineering. The meet aimed to provide a platform for alumni to reconnect with each other, network, and engage in fun-filled activities while challenging themselves and cheering their peers.
March 4th, arrived with a buzz of excitement. The most awaited event was finally here. While most of them met at the campus as buses were scheduled to leave at 8 am, others decided to travel directly to the resort.
By 10:30 am, everyone had arrived. With the registration counter set up, a wristband was given out that allowed access to adventure rides, lunch, and high tea. As a welcome gesture, refreshing drinks were offered to all attendees. The adventure resort offered a range of activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, zip-lining, boating, and swimming, among others.
A picture booth was set up while the participants were finishing their welcome drink and making their way to the main entrance. Friends and families created a lasting memory rather than merely snapping a photo.
Inauguration
The formal Alumni Meet 2023 inauguration was done by the Principal, followed by Dean-Alumni Relations who briefed the Alumni about the Alumni association activities. Announcements were made about the timeline of the day and everybody was all set to live their day to the fullest.
Volleyball & Tug of War competition
A thrilling volleyball match took place between the teams. From the outset, it was clear that both teams were evenly matched, and the game was fiercely contested from start to finish. The players demonstrated excellent technique, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the match, which made for a highly entertaining game.
The group of enthusiastic athletes gathered to participate in an exhilarating tug-of-war match. The two teams, composed of eight players each, were determined to win the game. Teamwork, strength, and sportsmanship led to a thrilling tug-of-war match.
Other activities
The zip-line, Bruma Bridge, river crossing, and Swimming pool provided ample space for all the alumni to rekindle the student in them and celebrate together.
LUNCH
The sumptuous lunch buffet was a delightful spread of dishes, including classic favourites and new recipes. The guests had a choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The lunch was not just about the food; it was more of an opportunity for the alumni to catch up with each other and relive old memories. The guests shared stories, jokes, and experiences, and there was a sense of camaraderie and nostalgia in the air.
The Rain Dance
The highlight was the rain dance. It was a powerful reminder of the simple joys of life, the power of friendship, and the beauty of nature. The Alumni celebrated their successful rain dance, knowing that it had brought them closer together, and reminded them of the joy and wonder of life.
HIGHTEA
Everyone was dressed in their finest attire after playing long in the rain. They chatted and laughed as they sipped their tea and enjoyed the scrumptious snacks. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the conversation flowed freely, with the Alumni reconnecting and letting their guard down, to be students one more time.
END OF A MEMORABLE DAY
A group photo was taken to commemorate the day’s events. As the evening drew to a close, the alumni bid each other farewell, promising to recreate this day again soon. They left feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, having enjoyed a delightful day spent in the company of good friends.
To conclude the day, the Alumni Association Committee thanked everyone for making it to the event and requested them to join all future events with the same gusto and involvement.
