On December 5th 2024, Aaptha Salaha Kendra (ASK) conducted a Peer Counselling Training session at NHCE, Bangalore, for the first-year Engineering Student Representatives. The session aimed to equip students with foundational skills in peer counselling, focusing on active listening, empathy, and emotional support.  

The session, facilitated by experienced counsellors and professionals, addressed adolescent issues, the role of peer support, and the emotional challenges faced by young adults. While the training offered valuable theoretical insights and engaging discussions, participants noted a need for more hands-on practice and structured role-play to strengthen the real-life application of peer counselling skills.
