From Ram Janmabhoomi to Kashi Vishwanath

On account of completing ten years of service, the New Horizon College of Engineering organised a trip to Ayodhya and Kashi for its staff members. Everyone, right from the Principal and executives to the teaching and non-teaching staff, was provided with the same facilities in terms of travel, food, accommodation and other arrangements.
With more than 32 years of experience, Prof. Ms. Revathi V of the Research and Development Department has participated in most of the employee initiatives organised by the Management Team of New Horizon Educational Institution. She has travelled to Kedarnath-Badrinath, Dwarka-Somnath, and most recently, Ayodhya-Kashi.
She had visited Ayodhya earlier, when the construction of the Ram Temple was still underway. Returning to the holy city after the completion of the temple, particularly following the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, felt like a complete cycle for her.
“When I was at the sanctum sanctorum, I was completely lost for words. I couldn’t ask God for anything. I really cannot put this experience into words.”
She felt that the travel arrangements were remarkable. From the flights and hotel accommodation to the food, everything was organised exceptionally well, leaving her with no reason to complain.
This was Prof. Revathi V’s third visit to Kashi. This time, she had the opportunity to visit several temples that she had been unable to visit during her earlier trips. Among them were the Mahamrityunjaya Temple and the Shiva Bhimeshwar Temple.
Revathi Ma’am and her team were particularly keen on experiencing the Sparsh Darshan of Lord Vishwanath. They were determined to make it happen and woke up as early as 2:45 a.m. to fulfil their wish. “We genuinely could not sleep a wink because we were all keen on Sparsh Darshan. And you won’t believe it, the lack of sleep this time did not take a toll on us, as we were so eager to receive the Sparsh Darshan.” After the Sparsh Darshan, they explored the corridors of Kashi, visiting temples and shops along the way.
“This time around, the Ganga was overflowing. We could not take a dip in the Ganga due to safety reasons.” Prof. Ms. Revathi V manages a packed schedule at New Horizon College of Engineering and is always on the move. Her responsibilities include handling classes, attending staff and management meetings, guiding colleagues and students on patents, nurturing research ideas, and much more.
During this period, she had also suffered a twist in her ankle. She took two days off for physiotherapy and rest, which helped her recover. By the grace of the Lord, within just two days, she was able to undertake the Yatra successfully.
“I had a fire in me to go to all these places again. The fire in me is satisfied,” she says calmly.
“My entire childhood was filled with stories about the struggle for the temple. I never thought the temple would actually come up here. When I was at Ram Mandir, I was in tears. It was a goosebumps moment for me.”
The Yatra provided a refreshing break for the staff members, giving them an opportunity to reconnect with their spiritual side and create cherished memories. “We came back with good memories and feeling completely refreshed.” She ends with a smile.
