ALUMNI TALK ON "ESSENTIALS FOR BUILDING EFFICIENT DATA AND ML PIPELINES”

The Alumni Association of New Horizon College of Engineering organized an alumni talk on November 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. for 4th year AIML students. The topic was “Essentials for Building Efficient Data and ML Pipelines” by Mr. Krishnav B. Dave, Founder and CEO, Startup Operating in Stealth Mode, and Alumni of NHCE (Batch: 2005–2009).

Mr. Krishnav began his session with an introduction to AIML and gave complete information on emerging applications based on ML operations. It is a set of practices that aims to deploy and maintain machine learning models in production reliably and efficiently. MLOps is a core function of machine learning engineering, which focuses on streamlining the process of taking machine learning models to production and then maintaining and monitoring them.

He also explained the benefits of ML Ops: it allows taking ML out of the lab and into production, creating a continuously-learning system that’s always learning from fresh data and generating up-to-date predictions for real-time optimization at scale.

Finally, he gave a few valuable tips to students on essentials for building efficient data and how ML pipelines improve the performance and organization of the entire model portfolio, getting models into production quicker, and making managing machine learning models easier.
