5G COMMUNICATION LAB
| VISION
To foster an industrial learning environment in 5G technology by creating an ecosystem for technical innovation
| MISSION
To explore the avenues of Next-Gen communication and to address the promising applications of 5G systems
| ABOUT THE COMPANY & LAB
We live in a world where 55% of the global population lives in cities and that figure is expected to go up to 70% by 2050. Ever growing urban densification requires an increased level of automation with billions of IoT devices stringing together smart city infrastructure for road and traffic management, power supply grid management, smart metering, parking, waterworks, etc. Similar advances in factory automation and warehouse management (Industry 4.0) introduce many device – controllers, sensors and actuators that need to communicate securely and reliably.
5G fulfills the promise of lightning-fast broadband through Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC) and Massive Machine-type Communication (mMTC) for catering to many IoT devices for these use cases.
5G is offering new ways to connect people and things, allowing the telecommunications industry to play a reinforced role in the digital transformation across industries. In a battle to optimize the investment in 5G technologies, Network Equipment Providers are looking to build new partnerships, a reliable ecosystem and source the best possible talents to identify and deliver compelling use cases. To support organizations in their 5G journey and win the innovation game, Capgemini Engineering has developed the 5G labs.
Capgemini Engineering help communication players optimize their investments in 5G technologies.
