My Bharat Budget Quest 2026

NSS volunteer Vivek Y actively participated in the My Bharat Budget Quest 2026, held on 12th and 13th April 2026 at The Art of Living Ashram, Bengaluru. The initiative, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through Mera Yuva Bharat, aimed to strengthen youth engagement in policymaking and governance. It was inspired by the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, connecting young citizens with the Union Budget and broader national development priorities.

The nationwide programme saw participation from over 12 lakh youth through a rigorous multi-stage selection process. After successive rounds of shortlisting, more than 7,000 participants represented 17 zones across India in the final stage. This reflected the scale and inclusivity of the initiative, bringing together diverse young voices from across the country.

A major highlight of the event was the Nari Shakti Youth Parliament, which included parliamentary-style discussions, policy debates, and resolution drafting. The deliberations focused on key national themes, including human capital development, agriculture and the rural economy, the future economy, women-led development, and sustainable growth. The programme began with a Malarpan to Swami Vivekananda and the collective singing of Vande Mataram, setting a tone of inspiration and national pride.

Participants engaged in structured and informed discussions and adopted a resolution proposing expanded Lok Sabha seats along with increased representation of women in governance. Messages from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya emphasised youth empowerment, participatory governance, and the values of Nation First and Kartavya.

The initiative significantly strengthened leadership qualities, policy awareness, and civic responsibility among young participants. NSS Programme Officer Mr. Hanamant Yaragudri, Registrar Mr. H. N. Suryaprakash, and Principal Dr. Manjunatha appreciated and congratulated Vivek Y for his active participation and valuable contribution towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
