ANNUAL STAFF SPORTS MEET 2024

We are pleased to announce that the Department of Physical Education and Sports at New Horizon College of Engineering, in full cooperation with the Human Resources Department of New Horizon Educational Institutions, successfully organized the 6th Annual Staff Sports Meet 2024. The event was held on January 26th, 2024, and brought together a large number of staff members from various departments to participate in a day of friendly competition and team spirit.

The Annual Staff Sports Meet was inaugurated by a distinguished group of individuals, including:

· Dr. Baswaraj Biradar, Principal of New Horizon College Kasturinagar
· H N Surya Prakash, Registrar of New Horizon College of Engineering
· Dr. Manjunatha, Principal of New Horizon College of Engineering
· Dr. Bodhisatvan, Principal of New Horizon College Marathalli
· Group Captain Tarun Batra (Retd.), Chief Operating Officer of NHCE
· Ms. Manjula, Executive Director, Human Resources Department of NHCE

The inauguration ceremony was further graced by several other dignitaries from NHCE, setting the tone for an energetic and enthusiastic sports event.

Participation and Events:

The sports meet witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 90 teams, comprising 560 staff members from across various departments. The event featured twelve disciplines for both men and women, offering opportunities for everyone to showcase their talent and enjoy a competitive yet fun-filled atmosphere. The disciplines included:

Chess, Carom, Football, Volleyball, Throwball, Kabaddi, Cricket, Tug of War, Relay, Shot Put, Table Tennis, Badminton (Men, Women, and Mixed Doubles)

Additionally, both Badminton (Mixed Doubles) and Carom (Mixed Doubles) were included, ensuring that there were plenty of opportunities for all staff members to participate and engage in the festivities.

Valedictory Ceremony:

The Valedictory Ceremony for the 6th Annual Staff Sports Meet 2024 was held at 7:30 PM on January 26th, 2024, at the Indoor Basketball Court. The ceremony celebrated the achievements and sportsmanship of all participants, and the winners of the various sports events were felicitated in the presence of the esteemed dignitaries and NHCE staff.

We are glad to inform you that Department of Physical Education and sports of New Horizon College of Engineering with full co-operation of Human resources Department of New Horizon Educational Institution had organized 5th Annual Staff Sports meet 2023. The various events are conducted on 26th January 2023. The Annual Staff sports fest was inaugurated by Group Captain Tarun Batra (retd) Chief operating officer of NHCE, H N Surya Prakash Register of New Horizon College of Engineering, Dr. Bodhisatvan Principal of New Horizon College Marathalli , and Dr.Basvaraj Biradar Principal of New Horizon College Kasturinagar in the presence of other dignitaries of NHCE.

Over 70 teams and 550 Staffs had participated in the sports fest.

The events are conducted in Twelve disciplines, which include Chess, Carom, Foot Ball, Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Kabaddi, Cricket,  Tug of war, Relay, Shot put, Table Tennis and Badminton for both Men and Women.
