The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, New Horizon College of Engineering, organised a 3-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Generative AI to Agentic AI: Designing Intelligent, Context-Aware Educational Systems” from 12th–14th August 2026. The programme covered Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, LLMs, and AI-powered educational tools through hands-on sessions led by industry experts from Infosys, Dell, Sandisk, and Aptiv, aiming to equip faculty with practical AI skills for teaching, research, and academic innovation.

Join the Industry Interaction Programme on “Global Perspectives in Automation and Energy” organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NHCE, on 24 July 2026 at 12:00 PM. Industry experts from Schneider Electric across the UAE, South Africa, and Kenya will share insights on automation, energy technologies, and global industry trends.

5-day FDP on “Cybersecurity and AI: Strengthening Teaching Practices and Research Competencies”, hosted by NHCE Bangalore (Dept. of CSE), 13–17 July 2026. Covers cyber threats, digital forensics, network/web security, VAPT, and AI integration in education. Open to faculty, researchers & PG students from AICTE/UGC institutions. As part of its Silver Jubilee Year celebrations, New Horizon College of Engineering’s Department of Research and Development is hosting a workshop titled “Research Paper Writing and Journal Publication Support” on 10th July 2026 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Chanakya Seminar Hall. The session will be led by Dr. Vinoth Kumar K, Professor and Associate Head, Department of Research and Development, NHCE. The event is organized under the guidance of Dr. Revathi V (Dean – R&D) and Dr. Manjunatha (Principal), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, IEEE NHCE Student Branch, and IEEE Power Electronics Society (NHCE Student Branch Chapter & Bangalore Chapter).

Join New Horizon College of Engineering for a Distinguished Lecture on Research Opportunities in Generative AI Security on 30 June 2026, 10:00 AM–12:30 PM (Online), featuring Dr. Praveen R, NIT Puducherry, organised by the Department of Research and Development.

This Faculty Development Programme explores the essential mathematical foundations that power AI-driven engineering solutions, covering linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics, optimisation techniques, differential equations, and numerical methods. The programme emphasises the connection between theoretical mathematics and practical AI applications, helping engineers develop a deeper understanding of model development, training algorithms, data analysis, and intelligent decision-making systems.

A guest lecture on “Digital Intelligence for Sustainable Energy Systems: Convergence of AI, IoT and Smart Grids” will be delivered by Dr. Hitesh Datt Mathur, Professor (EEE) and Head of SIRE at BITS Pilani, on 18th June 2026, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the Falconry Seminar Hall. It is organized by the Departments of R&D and EEE at New Horizon College of Engineering, in association with IEEE NHCE Student Branch.
