A REPORT ON VIJAY DIWAS 2021

Our prestigious country celebrated its 50th Vijay Diwas this year – 2021. This day is celebrated on December 16 every year to honor the victory of our Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war. Vijay Diwas is celebrated in memory of all the soldiers under the deft leadership of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, regarded as one of the greatest heroes of the Indo-Pakistan war. “You surrender or we wipe you out” was the message given by Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw to Pakistan. India won this long-standing war of 13 days. The chief of the Pakistani forces, General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi surrendered to the joint forces of Indian Army and Bangladesh’s Mukti Bahini, along with 93,000 Pakistani troops. It was also the biggest-ever military surrender after World War II. Thus, on this day, India pays homage to all the soldiers who defended our Nation.
New Horizon College of Engineering celebrated Vijay Diwas at the NHCE Campus on 16th December 2021, while paying our respected tribute to all the honorable Indian soldiers who laid their lives in the line of duty to protect our great Nation.
The event was welcomed by the Principal, Heads of every department, teachers and students at 4.30pm. The Emcee briefed us about the celebration after which the group lit candles to pay tribute. Mr. Vignesh sung a patriotic song “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo” which was dedicated to all the martyred soldiers.

We ended the event with our National Anthem
