Computer Society of India ,student chapter of new Horizon college of engineering organized coding contest on 25-02-2020 to make the students readiness for the placement and enhance their logic building and employability skills of the 4th and 6th semester UG students and 4 semester PG students. The CSI student chapter of CSE, ISE and MCA departments combined together and conducted the coding contest. There were totally 3 levels in which first two levels of rounds were conducted by the respective departments. Final round was common to all 3 departments. The student winners awarded cash prize worth Rs.10000.

LEVEL 1 .- simple and easy

Individual performance by the students

CSE – Around 196 students registered for the event and 145 students participated in the first round and 20 students got selected for second level.

ISE – 45 students participated and 12 got selected for second level.

MCA – 30 students 10 students got selected for second level

LEVEL 2 – Little complex

Level 2 was a team performance and each team comprise of two members and the duration of one and half an hour was allotted for online coding. There were totally 10 teams participated from CSE department. Out of the 10 teams 4 teams from CSE qualified for the final round.

LEVEL 3 – Complex (common to all 3 departments)

In the final round, 4 teams from CSE ,3 teams from ISE and 3 teams from MCA participated for one and half an hour online coding. The first prize winning team from ISE department got Rs 5000 cash prize. Second place winning team from MCA department got Rs.3000 cash prize and Third place winning team from CSE department got Rs.2000 cash prize.
